Our delicious banana and carrot cake is made completely without refined sugar, butter and wheat flour. But it is full of vitamins, healthy fats and proteins.
Whole grain spelled flour, ground almonds, baking powder, cinnamon
Put the dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir.
Carrots, bananas, eggs, salt, apple puree, dry ingredients
Grate carrots. Set aside a small amount. Mash the bananas with a fork and mix into a paste. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until fluffy. Add the apple puree. Mix everything into the mixed dry ingredients and mix.
Finally, stir the sliced almonds into the batter. Leave a few for the final decoration.

Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined form. Put the cake in the oven at 200 degrees over / under heat for 50 – 60 minutes. Use a wooden skewer to check if the dough is still stuck. If not, remove the cake and let it cool.

For the topping, drizzle a small spoonful of almond butter over the cake. Spread the remaining almonds and carrots evenly on top.
